  1. It's ok to skip school on occassion if you think you really need it (Maybe your stressed out or it's just not one of those days) However keep it to a minimum, like maybe two days every month.. However that's already pushing the limit and your grades will sink a little because of this so you will pay the price.

  2. Not exactly.  You can skip that is your choice definitely but, by doing so you also acknowledge that it is your choice to face the consequences if you are caught.  Let me ask you some questions though.  Are you aware of how bad the economy is these days? Do you think that some day you just might have to grow up and be responsible for yourself? Do you think not working as hard as you can to get a good education so you can take care of your personal needs/responsibilities is a good idea?

  3. ive you can support yourself. go ahead

  4. u can but why you wanna skip school?

  5. Cut out the middle man.  Just drop out.  I mean, you want to skip, right?  When you SKIP, you miss out on LEARNING.  So just drop out.

  6. ummm your parents can take away your cell phone, computer, junk food, friend privelages, pretty much everything you have. but hey if that's worth missing a day of school then go for it

  7. sure if you want to be a poor unhappy slob when you grow older.

  8. If you are over 16 (in the US), your school system can expel you for skipping.  And once you're expelled from school, your parents can expect you to support yourself.  If you aren't a full-time student, they may not be allowed to keep you on their health insurance policy, so you would have to get a job to pay for your own.  You lose your student discounts on your auto insurance, which you can't drive without.

If you're under 16 and have a pattern of skipping, the courts can put your PARENTS in jail, which means your family is going to lose some or all of its income for that period of time.  The courts can also put you in a detention facility, an "alternative" school, or even the foster care system.

Skipping is an easy habit to get into and a hard habit to break.  It also carries a lot more penalties and consequences than most kids realize.

  9. I'm 18 and just finished school and heading to universtiy. I skipped school occasionally but to be fair, I wish i was still at school as most people who leave do. There is to much fun to be had in school as well as to many qualifications to be gained. When i was in school i took it only serious enough to get good grades for uni, but in my spare time i just smoked weed and annoyed teachers with friends.

    Have fun.

  10. I'm assuming you mean just ditching a day, not dropping out. You CAN do it, but you must face the consequences of an absence and any information you should have learned that day.  And if you do it too many times, it will catch up to you.  It will lower your recommendations if you plan to go to college, by showing that you are not responsible and committed enough to come every day.  I don't mind a parent taking a kid out if there is something educational going on in the outside world, but I doubt you have anything like that in mind when you ditch.
