Skippy Go Lucky expected to win Gain Puppy & Sapling 525
Skippy Go Lucky is expected to prevail in the Gain Puppy & Sapling 525 at Harold’s Cross in Ireland on Friday, July 13, 2012. The winner of the 525 yard race will be awarded a cash prize of €350.
The Grade A2 event will start at 20:04 GMT and the competition will be quite an interesting one, as there are some decent runners lined up for action. However, the best chances of victory appear to be with Skippy Go Lucky, who is carrying a very good momentum
right now. She has been given a general starting price of 3 to 1 and will definitely get the attention of the punters.
The Dickenson’s trainee made her debut at Harold’s Cross back in April 2011, which means that the conditions will not be new for her. She has taken part in quite a few events at this venue, thus will be full of confidence heading into today’s race.
The black and white b***h started off her career with a couple of solo runs and her speed was pretty much impressive in them. However, the real test for her was to prove her skills in competitive racing.
She went into a Grade A9 event at Harold’s Cross in August last year and was priced 4 to 1 back then. This was her first ever competitive race, but her trainer would have been hopeful of a good result. She displayed very good skills back then and took the
top spot by two and a half lengths.
Gingko’s daughter out of Tullymurry Disco won a few more events in that season and looked in a very good position at the start of next year. However, she was unable to start her 2012 campaign in a positive manner and finished sixth in her first race this
year.
Despite that, the young b***h bounced back strongly in the future events and gave some terrific performances, making her team proud. Her recent form has also been good, which is a very positive sign.
Importantly, Skippy Go Lucky did a very good job in her most recent race, finishing first in it. She was rated as the favourite that time around and triumphed by four lengths. A similar run is expected from her today as well.
