No way.  The company was started in the Austrian-Hungarian Empire (as Laurin & Klement) near the end of the 19th Century.  After WWII, the country became known as Czeckoslovakia.  In 1991, the country became known as the Czech Republic and the company became part of Volkswagen AG.  Current Skoda vehicles are in fact also built in plants in Slovakia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and India.

    When will Skoda return to North America?
