until the end of the previous season.
His lacklustre form for the London-based team is in sharp contrast with his heroics at Liverpool. The forward enjoyed stupendous success during his spell at Anfield and developed a reputation of being the Premier League’s most feared striker.
Nonetheless, ahead of his side’s absorbing fixture against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo’s men at the weekend, Skrtel believes Torres will still pose considerable threat for the defenders.
The Slovakian International said the Spaniard still remains to be one of the best attackers in the world and vowed to give it his best to keep him from scoring on Sunday.
Torres has not netted a single goal against Liverpool since his move to Chelsea.
“We have to keep our eye on him for 90 minutes and not let him score,” he told the club’s official website.
“It's going to be special but we have to look after him because even if he isn't scoring goals at the moment he is still one of the best strikers in the world and still dangerous.”
“It's going to be hard playing against him but I believe in my qualities and the quality of our team and I believe we won't let him score.”
The Reds have enjoyed considerable success over Chelsea in recent times, emerging victorious in all of their last four league meetings. However, currently, they are not in the best of forms and find themselves tottering in the bottom half of the table.
