http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Agger-c9884, and thought that they were the best players for the Reds in the current season.
The Slovakian footballer, who himself has earned the plaudits of his different team-mates, believed that both the players had performed brilliantly throughout the course of the season, and he will pick anyone from these two as his choice for the Reds player
of the season.
However, both Enrique and Agger opined differently on the matter and cast their vote in favour of Skrtel. Enrique went on to say that he would not trade Skrtel for any defender in the Premier League at the moment.
The 27-year old centre-back also bemoaned the Reds lamentable current season, which has seen them drop down to the eighth place in the league table. Nevertheless he lauded the effort of his team-mates, and particularly heaped praise on Enrique for appearing
in almost every league game.
While talking to reporters, he said: “I don't think it's been our best season, especially in the league.”
He also waxed lyrical about Agger for playing a leading role in the Reds rearguard, and believed that the player did remarkably well after returning from an injury.
Agger cracked one of his ribs during the Reds Carling Cup final against Cardiff City in February.
“He was unlucky to get injured, but when he has played I think he's been very good. I've played with him a lot and know how good he is.” He added.
Agger, who is playing his seventh full-season at Anfield, has made 28 appearances for the Reds this season and has scored a single goal, besides picking up 5 assists. In total, he has capped 164 appearances for the Reds.
Enrique on the other hand, made his debut for the Reds last year against Sunderland in a 1-1 draw. He has featured in 40 matches this season and is yet to score his first goal for Liverpool.
Skrtel was also asked who he thought was the best defender in the Premier League this season. He replied: “Vincent Kompany. He's played very well.”
