Sks legal to convert or not?

I have a Norinco Sks I dont know how to tell what model,but I have taken off the 10rd clip and added a 30rd mag and a stock with a pistol grip(non folding stock) just like an Ak-47,and also a burst fire trigger.I was told the trigger add on is not ilegal.thanx for any help love this site

You were told correctly. Once you put the Burst Trigger assembly on it, you made it into an Automatic Weapon.

When you have an Automatic Weapon, you have to have a special tax stamp from the BATFE. It costs 200.00 to get the stamp, and a special background check. You also give up your right to search because they can come to you at any time and demand to see that weapon.
