Should I get a descented skunk or a hedgehog. What do they eat? Do they bite? If I get a skunk will he be kept in a cage like a ferret or can I let him free roam and litter train him?

  1. A skunk, but, you might wanna get it already tamed, or else, your going to be faced with some smelly issues later.

  2. I had a skunk for a pet and kept him in a crate and let him loose when I could watch him. He used a litter box in the crate. You have to check your state regulations about owning a skunk. We bought ours years ago from a place called Ruby fur farms and they were descented and different colors but now you can't bring them across state lines in Ala. My skunk was a fun pet and loved being held. The one big drawback is the skunks cannot get a rabies vaccine, if they should bite someone they will be put down and checked for rabies so I never let anyone hold mine but me. My skunk ate cat food, he was easy to care for.

  3. skunk free and they are nicer than cats

  4. A hedgehog is probably better. Skunks do better in thewild where they belong. Dont get one until you know everything about how to take care of them.(such as what they eat!) Skunks dont really make good indoor pets. Do not get a exotic until you can find a vet who does exotics. Put at least $500 dollars aside in case of an emergency. A skunk would not be happy in a cage and i am not sure that you could litter train it. A hedgehog is a better 'looking at pet" because some dont like to be held and they are not social animals and arnt very affectionate

  5. Skunk! that would be so freakin awesome. Where would you get one though i wonder.
