I've heard you can mix something very simple, like some kind of fruit or lemon oil with water and spray it around where their burrow is, and they'll leave. What is it that I am supposed to mix with water to get them to leave without killing them. I just want them to move, not hurt them. Thank you in advance.

  1. If they are not bothering anyone..why do you want to get rid of them. They have every right to be out in nature where they belong.  If you MUST get them to move,  look at this site for humane ways to get them out of your area.

  2. You could spread some mothballs around there.  Most animals hate that stuff.

  3. In response to the first answerer, mothballs are toxic to many animals, bad idea. Many hardware stores stock devices that emit a high frequency noise that things like gophers aren't supposed to like. Supposedly it'll make them leave, and it might  work for skunks too. Failing that, live traps. Don't harm the animals at all. Again, might be stocked by a hardware store. You can pick the trap up (Probably want to cover it with a sheet first to avoid being sprayed) and release them in the woods, if you have nearby forest. That's all I've got, good luck.
