I have been told that the 160Gb Sky+ box has been discontinued. Is this true? If it is still available, can anyone give me a link to the page on Sky's website where it is sold please?

  1. they used to sell it as a special edition model around 2 years ago, now you can only get it second hand or reconditioned. the only difference with the current sky+160, the is the firmware. The older one allows you to use the full 160Gb recording space and the current version only allows 80Gb recording and the remaining 80Gb for Sky Anytime programmes. A genuine model will have the numbers 160 on the face of the box. An alternative is to fit a larger HDD to your current box.

  2. The Sky+ Box  hard drive  is still 160 GB  but half of the hard drive 80 GB is reserved for use by the Sky Anytime TV service.Go to sky.com the link will take you to the current Sky+ Box.
