  1. Yes you do, Sky won't install it unless you have one.

You can disconnect it after and it will still work.

  2. contractually - yes

    reality - no

My husband used to just pull out the wire and plug it in on the rare occassion we'd rent a pay-per-view film as our tv is on the opposite side of the room to the phone plug.

  3. yes

  4. From memory when I had Sky installed they required that the box be plugged into the phone line for the first 12 months - they plug it in when they install it.  After that you can unplug it if you want.

  5. Yes,you do.=]

  6. No mine isn't connected

  7. I work for sky and I can honestly tell you that you dont need a phoneline. sky charge a one off fee of £25 for you to have an install without the phone on all standard, sky+ and HD stb`s so what you waiting for give `em a call.

  8. To The Dish? Yes.

  9. i bought a dish, i bought a box, i bought a card, i paid for installation, and paid a monthly fee.It sucked, i felt very ripped off. one of my friends told me about Satellite Tv Pc.

You get over 3000 channels from 78 countries on your PC right off the internet.

it is so cool. the big secret is that these companies like dish network, sky, direct tv, All use waves that were meant to be FREE. these waves come from satellites in space that can easily be transfered through the internet.

Check it out before you waste any regreted money.
