  1. If you have a HD TV, get HD for the front room.

If no HDTV then get multiroom in SD

  2. I would get Sky HD as there are other ways you can get sky in other rooms by buying a Wireless AV device sender that you can plug into the back of your Sky box. They come as cheap as £30 from Currys or Dixons etc.

I recommend visiting the Sky website at:

have a full look at what they offer on HD. At present there are movies in HD, Nat. Geo in HD, "24" in HD (that programme alone in HD is enough to convince me) .There are still only a few channels that are available in HD but believe me this will soon change.. So many programmes are now being filmed in HD and the difference between HD and SD is really noticeable. You won't be disappointed if as you say you can afford it.

    Hope that helps!

  3. Multi-room .... HD isn't worth the extra (+the expense of the box) and there aren't that many channels with an HD feed.

I found football matches terrible in HD, sure you could see the faces of the people in the crowds, but the players looked plastic.

It might depend on the TV, I got a panasonic Viera so I can't speak for any other sets. I sent my sky HD back.

  4. multiroom

i dont csare its just an extra ten pund and you can see the tv well enough already

trust, in a few years, all tvs will be hd naturally

  5. Neither. Not enough HD channels about yet to warrant the extra monthly charge. We are going to wait next year for that.

And unless you are living in a house with loads of people that want to watch SKY, Multiroom is a rip off too. You can buy a "magic eye" for about £20 which you just plug into the back of your digibox and you can then watch SKY on another TV in another room - only downside is you have to watch the same channel.

  6. multiroom def

  7. I have both and to be honest with you there are not many HD channels at the moment and for example channel 4 HD, very few programmes are actually shown in HD. Therefore if I were you I would opt for multirooms, then at least you can watch your programmes in another room.

  8. get the sky hd and some digital av senders and have it wireless to another room
