Question:

Sky Package (see, speak, surf) and BT line rental?

Me and the other half are moving out into a rented place in 2 weeks, we want Sky's deal of See,Speak,Surf and there was a phone line already installed in the house when we looked around.

BUT! (and this is where I feel my heads gonna explode!) if theres a line there already do we just contact BT and ask for the line rental or do we have to go into a contract with BT and just have the See, Surf package from sky til we can have all 3?

Any answers would be much much much appreciated!!!!

Thanks in advance xxxx

  1. Almost certainly BT will hit you with a 12 month contract as you are a new account, they may well also charge a connection fee as well.

The other problem you might come up against is, if the previous tenants were using a different provider from BT, then you may have to find out which company that was, although knowing BT they will do anything to get you as customers.

  2. If the line is there in the house, the BT will start the line, for free or £9.99 (cannot remember). And the contract will be for 3 months, if you don't then take a package you can move to anyone you like for your calls and broadband.

    Hope this helps?

  3. Soz am not much help but I havent a clue u shud phone B.T
