Question:

Sky Phone Line Connection?

We have just recently upgraded our Sky package to Sky HD. The installation takes place next week. However our phone line socket is very far away from the television.

Does anyone have any advice? Can I buy myself out of the phone line contract?

  1. Hello

BT is selling some FANTASTIC device which work like the homeplug system for the interrnet...it send the signal via your power socket...and virtually all your house power socket become a phone socket ! great isn it ?

It is called: DECT Wireless Phone Line Extender

It can be bought from BT or Maplin from just £49 !

at http://www.mytv.org.uk (they do free delivery for order over £35)

    All the best

  2. not if its part of a multiroom subscription. Sky charges £25 for a no phone line install on a standard box and more recently they extended that offer to Sky+ subscriptions(single box only), not sure if they are accepting no phone line on a HD subscription, you need to ring them to find out. Also they might increase the cost of the box if you decide to have a no phone line install. The engineer will staple in a phone extension  supplied by sky but if you don't want any wires then there is a wireless phone line extension you can buy (maplins).
