Sky Pilot to swing back for the Leopardstown Club Members Handicap
Lined up for the Leopardstown Club Members Handicap are fourteen three-year and above contestants who will race over two miles for getting entitled to the €8,970 prize money for the race that will be staged at Leopardstown. The race is deprived of an entry
who has been successful in an outing lately.
Enjoying widespread preference for the race is the seven-year-old bay gelding, Sky Pilot. The 5 to 1 shot for the race has been active six times during the new season and throughout has fluctuated between the second and first position with the exception
of the last outing in which he ended fifth.
Dilshaan’s bay gelding scored second in the seasonal debut on 7th March, 2012 in the Bet With The Bookies Maiden Hurdle over two miles and six furlongs at Downpatrick. The race was won by, Undone by the margin of just half a length.
The very next stop for the Ms. Joanna Morgan trained was in the BWG Food Handicap on 9th March, 2012 at Dundalk over a mile and four furlongs. This time Sky Pilot was aided by jockey, Pat Smullen, and the two edged past the runner-up, Brecan Boy,
by 1 ½ length.
Coming at terms with the third position was, Accompanist.
The turns of rankings continued as the seven-year-old settled second in the Family Fun Racedays At Leopardstown Handicap on 28th March, 2012 at Leopardstown over a mile and six furlongs.
Run With The Wind won the race by the margin of ¾ of a length while reserving the third spot was, Leah Claire.
The second seasonal success for the W. P. Iceton bred was in the http://www.limerickraces.ie Handicap on 16th June, 2012 at Limerick over two miles. He settled the race winning it by the margin of 1 ¼ lengths and setting In A Nutshell as the runner-up.
Until yet this was the last race that Sky Pilot won as the next two that followed were missed to a second and then a fifth position. The outcome of the last race was really off routine.
Today the Irish bay gelding will race with jockey, Pat Smullen again as the duo has drawn the fifth stall. He will need to look out for Takeyourcapoff and Donatis Comet.
