  1. virgin. With Sky you have to get a BT landlie and if there is a problem with the line you have to pay extra 4 BT to come out. Also with the most basic or Virgin packges u get catch up TV sky dont unless you get the box that costs £100.

  2. virgin is cheaper but u cant pause live

  3. Virgin!

  4. an alternative to either

    BT Vision

  5. Virgin, you don't need a horrendous dish outside.

  6. Sky is good :-)

  7. Well i had a bad experience with SKY ! The new digibox they gave me was faulty !! i called them and they replaced it with a Old refurbshid one ! which was also giving me problems ! i called them like zillion of times but they never sent out anyone to fix it  !  Be4 that  i was Using NTL(virgin now ) and i never had any problems with them ! so I think  I WUD recon u to go for Virgin !

  8. sky

  9. Virgin TV is the best. Everyone has it and everyone LOVES IT.

People wouldnt have it if it wasnt awesome!!

  10. I prefer Sky, also love Sky+

  11. I had NTL in the past which is now Virgin, they tend to have very bad customer service though in terms of cost are cheaper than SKY. Sky Plus is still the best of the hard disk boxes out there also, but in terms of programming I have noticed that Virgin are starting to catch up out of nowhere.. Their Virgin 1 channel seems to be pulling in a lot of the new shows and getting them exclusively. Also, setanta sports is getting premiership and european football also. So in terms of programming value, both are leveling out though I would still suggest SKY for better customer service and because they are still ahead. Also, if you are not going to switch BB and phone then their stand alone televison prices are well balanced still whereas Virgin is more about the whole package.

  12. You are better off with satellite TV than cable but need to get a dish fitted to receive it. You can only get cable TV (now called Virgin but previously called NTL) if you live somewhere where it is available, but you can get satellite TV anywhere once you have your dish professionally installed and have your satellite receiver.

You can get Sky and Virgin channels on both systems, but have a much bigger choice of channels with satellite including many you can not get on cable. But if you want Movie Channels and/or Sky Sports Channels it costs you a lot more whichever system you have for full rates go to Sky Website. A cheaper option is to get what is ca;lled "Freeview" which you either need a Freeview box to pick up, or else if you buy the latest TVs on sale they will have that in already. But you are much more limited in what Channels you can get although it costs nothing to receive the available channels. You can get more channels with free-view by also subscribing to what is called Top up TV, but that is still a lot less than you get with Sky satellite, so go for that..
