Sky remote help?

Question

ususally i can use my remote to change normal tv channel and volume etc.

but my batteries were out of my sky remote for a whole and now it doesnt work.

so how do i reactivate it because it wasnt me who activated it in the 1st place

my tv is a samsung and i have sky digital, not hd or plus if that matters.

help please!

How to program the Sky remote

Samsung Sky codes 0060,0510,0615,0646,0672,0840,1277,1340,...

1) Switch on the TV set.

2) Press the TV button on the Sky Remote.

3) Hold down the select and red buttons for 2-3 seconds until the LED blinks twice.

4) Press the TV button on the Sky Remote again.

5) Enter the 4 digit code for your make of TV.

6) The LED should blink twice, if not recheck the 4 digit code used and go back to 1.

7) Press the standby button on the Sky Remote (The TV should go to standby).

8) Press select to store the setting.

go through the interactive menu, it shows you how to reset it and has a table that matches your tv to the handset with a code.
