  1. Your dish may be dirty

There may be foilage or something in the way of the dish and the satellite.

Your dish may have gone out of alignment.

Check the signal strength, press services, system set up then signal test.

The cable along its length may be damaged.

The low noise block (the small circular bit sticking out on the arm) may need replacing or it getting wet

If all else fails, call a Sky engineer from the Yellow Pages.

  2. Mine's okay.

  3. Get cable if it is available in your area.

It is not perfect but a lot better than Skye if the weather is bad.

  4. Chances are a tree has just blossomed and grown leaves between your aerial and the satellite.- a very common problem at this time of year.Building work with scaffolding also does this.

So have a look in the direction your aerial points - is anything in the way, has that tree grown since last year?

Another trick is to switch the box off remove the card (note which slot it comes from) switch back on then put the card back in. This forces a reset of the box.

  5. All ok here.
