I want to move my lounge around and I want to move my tv and sky box from one side of the room to the other, there is not enough cable to reach at the moment, will I need to get sky back out or will my novice at DIY husband be able to attempt it with maybe an extension cable?

  1. Read all about it, on the web site below.

  2. Your hubby should be able to do it as long as you buy right cable my sisters hubby managed to get thiers into another room so it can be done.

  3. i think it is pretty straight forward to do we did it easily.

  4. What you will need is a Coaxial cable of the required length with a male connector at one end and a female at the other.

  5. Easy job, the connecter on the end of your cable is a 'f' connecter. You will need the lenght of cable to move your tv with a new 'f' connector on either end. To join the cables you need a 'f' barrel. All these can be bought at any diy shop. If this sounds like to much hassle then you can get extensions from any electrical retailer although they only sell set lenghts. Dont forget if you have sky+ you will need 2 extensions.

  6. as ed s says or go to local diy and get an extension and joiner kit should be around the £10 cost.
