Sky volume help?

i cant get the volume working on the sky remote, iv followed the manual to put in the code but had no luck, iv rang sky and they gave me about 11 codes in total and all of them failed. all they said was the remote cant be compatible, i refuse to believe that when in the manual my make of tv is listed. iv tried the code about 50 times no with no luck. could anyone help please? the tv make is a proline.
