Question:

Skydiving this Saturday - Any Tips/Stories?

I am skydiving for my first time this Saturday with my best friend. We are jumping at 9,000 feet and the weather is supposed to be great. We are jumping in Gananoque, Ontario (CANADA).

I am really excited but nervous about things like what to wear and what to do before hand. I am getting a video taken for $100 extra and I am excited about that.

Any advice or tips would be great.

Thanks!

  1. Treat the day like any other day.  eat a good breakfast and don't drink to much the night before.  wear comfortable clothes and wear closed toe shoes.

Tandem jumps are great, and it is a very good idea to get video too.  I went for a tandem jump a few years ago thinking that it would be a one time thrill ride for me.  Turns out I loved it so much that I got my license and have been an active skydiver ever since.  400 jumps now and counting!  Enjoy the jump, relax, enjoy the view and smile, there is nothing better than skydiving!

    Blue Skies!

  2. I've only gone once as well and was so focused on getting everything right that it was over in a flash. My one piece of advice would be to RELAX! The instructors are there to protect you and the safety equipment is nearly fail-proof now. Make sure your number one focus is to enjoy it.

Other than that, it's unlike any other experience. Live it and Love it!
