I have skype and I bought the "Unlimited Calls to Cananda/US" I was wondering if the landlines or mobiles get charged for answering/talking to a skype user. If the phone company's charges landline phones for recieving a call from the internet.

  1. The originator of calls always pays the long distance charges.

This includes when making calls from Skype.

The party receiving the call never pays the LD charges.

But, as we all know, people picking up on cell phones may incur air time charges.  But in their case, it doesn't matter where the call comes from, they always pay for air time; it's how their package works.

  2. No. They're merely answering their phone. The one who would incur any and/or all charges is the party MAKING the call.
