It seems Bethesda are keeping themselves busy as they announce what voice commands will be added to the game with Kinect compatibility while also highlight the different factions players can choose to play as in The Elder Scrolls Online MMO.
The Elder Scrolls universe has a history richer than the real-worlds and world as fantastical as George R.R. Martin’s A Sony of Ice and Fire. That universe is set to get both more immersive and more expansive as Bethesda looks to push the limits of where they can take their franchise.
Starting things off with the added level of immersion as Microsoft 360 and Kinect owners can perform a number of commands without the press of a single button but instead simply by using their voice.
Basically, via the update, players can use the voice command feature on the Kinect to actually yell out Fus Ro Dah to unleash the Unrelenting Force and send farm animals hurtling off cliffs, or other less entertaining things as well.
All the spells and Dragon shouts can be, well, shouted out and the effects can be seen in the game itself, which makes the new feature very, very cool for gamers who have been practicing those particular skills.
Commands can also be issued to followers and menus can be brought up using voice commands as well. The fun doesn’t stop there as the Character Menu, Map Menu and Magic Menu can all be brought up and accessed via the voice command feature.
For those who thought it would end there, well, it doesn’t as players can assign hotkeys as well to equip certain items and weapons as well as a few favourites as well including the Health Potion, Bow, Dagger and spells.
As for the different factions in The Elder Scrolls Online MMO, it turns out that players will be able to choose between one of three factions, each with their own races.
The Ebonheart Pact has the Argonian, the Dunmer and the Nord, while the Aldmeri Dominion sees the Altmer, Bosmer and Khajiit races team up and finally the Daggerfall Covenant has the Orcs, the Redguard and the Breton all forming an alliance.
