Developers working on mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which allows cooperative gameplay, while EA have released a $100 car for use in Need for Speed World
Two stories from the happening world of gaming today; the first being that developers are currently busy creating a mod for the ever-popular fifth instalment in the Elder Scrolls series, Skyrim which has gamers the world over more excited than a bunch of
13-year old girls are for Justin Bieber.
According to reports the mod is still in the early stages of the development process and will not be released for some time. However, the Alpha version of the game is available for download for those who cannot seem to keep their pants on, or rather wait.
Gamers must be warned though that the Alpha version comes with a few of its own problem and limitation and an extensive instruction manual has been provided to help gamers make the most out of their experience.
The other players will appear as prisoners who for some odd reason seem to prefer being in nothing but their skin in the cold, harsh world that is Skyrim. No animations have been added to the extra characters, which is understandable seeing how it is still
far from finished, yet none the less many gamers are taking it as teaser for things to come.
One thing gamers can enjoy though is voice chat, which seems to be functioning perfectly in the Alpha version so Skyrim players can trade their, now trademark, Dragon shouts in real life. Though we wager they will not sound half as epic as the in-game characters.
The Alpha version is available from download and is titled, ‘Skyrim Online’.
In other news, Electronic Arts seem to have lost their heads somewhat after they have announced a Downloadable Content Pack for their racing-meet-MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game, Need for Speed World.
‘What is in this pricey add-on?’ is something many may ask. Well, for $100 of their hard earned money, or their parent’s hard-earned money, gamers can expect to get one car. That’s right, one car nothing else.
The DLC itself is has a 25% discount at the moment, which is a mercy for those who are actually considering purchasing the car for the game, but that deal itself expires on the 21st of December.
Gamers who do end up purchasing the DLC will get to drive around in a rather sweet looking CCX “Elite” Edition, though whether or not the car or the DLC is worth that kind of money is another story altogether.
Apparently, this is the first “Premium Elite” car and more are set to follow in the near future, the question though remains, who is going to buy them?
