Skywalker Flash tipped to prevail in Williamhill.com Puppy Division 1
Skywalker Flash is likely to bring up his maiden OR victory in the sport, by claiming the Williamhill.com Puppy Division 1 at Newcastle in England on Saturday, July 21, 2012. The winner will be awarded a cash prize of £150 in the end.
Both the speed and stamina will be crucial in the race, as the participants will have to cover an overall distance of 480 metres. No one seems to be in a dominant position at the moment, which will make it hard for the punters to make a decision. However,
they can risk their money in favour of Skywalker Flash, who is quite a promising hound.
The bookmakers have shown some faith in the abilities of the blue and fawn dog, giving him a general starting price of 11 to 4. He certainly has the ability to meet their expectations at the end of the day.
The T. Soppitt’s trainee is new to the sport, as he made his debut in June this year. He started off his career with a T2 event and managed to do a very good job in it. Afterwards, he was sent for some solo runs, which showed what he was capable of achieving.
At the end of June, Skywalker Flash got an opportunity to represent his team in a Grade OR event at Nottingham. This was his first appearance at the competitive level, but the bookies had a lot of faith in him. They had rated him as the favourite to win
back then, but he let them down in the end.
Hondo Black’s son out of Express Mist had a clear run in his first race, but failed to match the speed of Lisnakill Roly, who stormed to the top by two and a half lengths.
The runner up spot was still not bad for Skywalker Flash, who later took part in three more events in this class. His performance was disappointing in one of them, but he did a decent job in the previous two, finishing third in them.
He was once again given the best odds by the bookies in his previous outing, but failed to meet their expectations. However, his fans will be expecting a change in fortune for him at Newcastle.
