Skywalker Louie seeking a fifth straight win through the Owlerton Bookmakers Standard
The Owlerton Bookmakers Standard will be held at Sheffield over 500 metres flat on Tuesday, 5th June. Up for the challenge tonight are Droopys Rory, Stepaside Bigjak, Farloe Lenson, Skywalker Louie, Dream On Buddy and Clerihan Gold. They will compete in order to get entitled to the £200 prize money.
One of the strongest contestants for the race is Skywalker Louie, Top Honcho’s three-year-old blue and white son out of b***h, Synone Starlight. Through winning his very recent race, Skywalker Louie has extended the winning streak to four.
Surprisingly his first four races of the 2012 season were victories too. He won the seasonal debut on 7th January in the Grade A1 Night Continues At Naploleons Casino at Sheffield over 500 metres.
He was the 10/11 favourite winner of the race and had the race under his belt in 29.62 seconds. He led the runner up of the race, Ballymackey Ace, by four and a half lengths.
His streak of the last four wins began with the success in the Owlerton Bookmakers Standard on 17th April at Sheffield over 500 metres. The 10/11 favourite timed the track distance in 29.08 seconds and had the final six lengths under his belt.
On 25th April Skywalker Louie won the Bettor For Betting On The Dogs Stayers at Peterborough over 605 metres. He was on the other end of the wire in 38.34 seconds and made Third Intention finish second after leading by 1 ¼ lengths.
The 7/4 favourite of the race, Airforce Newyork, ended third after racing for 38.58 seconds.
He struck a hat trick by bagging the Owlerton Bookmakers Standard on 8th May at Sheffield over 500 metres. The 10/11 favourite winner was through racing in 29.13 seconds and enjoyed the lead of three lengths.
His fourth in line and most recent success was in the Owlerton Bookmakers Standard on 22nd May at Sheffield over 500 metres. He clocked the track distance in 29.18 seconds and led the track by 2 ¾ lengths. Solomon finished the closest to the winner.
Skywalker Louie has the inevitable chances of extending the winning streak to five this time.
