Skywalker Silk strong in the Grade A1 Sis Live A1 525
Contesting for the Grade A1 Sis Live A1 525 are, Society St Flyer, Pucker Up, Goforithonda, Jamaica Johnny, Skywalker Silk and Nushkas Posty. The 525 yards flat race will be hosted by Shelbourne Park on Wednesday, 7th November. The prize money set for the race is €400. There is a mix of entries who have raced at the open level too, and those who have increased their proficiency at Grade A level.
The highly likely entry to bag the winner’s prize money is the fifth trap, Skywalker Silk, not at the open, but the two-year-old has proved exceptionally impressive in the last two outings.
The black b***h has raced at Shelbourne Park since 15th September.
She won a Grade A1 Night Of The Stars 550 at over 550 yards. Racing in the orange vest, she led on from the first position without leaving any provision for the rest of the lot to make it through the wire first.
The two-year-old made it to the other end of the wire in 30.26 seconds, and defeated, Annual Cha, by 3 ½ lengths.
The switch from the orange to black and white jacket in the very next race, Grade A1 Sis Live A1 525 on 1st November, 2012, saw her extending her competitive and winning form.
Royal impact’s daughter was challenged when racing in the third position, but was quick to compose in a determined stance, and complete the trip in 28.94 seconds. Qualifying as the runner-up after missing the race by the mark of a length was, Rathbawn Tommy.
The F O’Donnell trained is bidding for a hat-trick at Grade A1 level through the chance today and is backed by 3 to 1 odds.
She has raced and won from the fifth box before too, but the difference tonight will be in the level of competition that she is used to. The two-year-old will need to look out for Jamaica Johnny who is supported by 2 to 1 odds and Pucker Up, who is backed by 7 to 2 odds.
Both the entries have raced at the open level and just might end up making an impression tonight.
