Slander in workplace?

i know!! no tolerance for this stuff, but if it gets to the point of taking it to court, is there a set amount on the settlement for this??? or is it up to the defense att. on the severity of the situation? and what is the usual amount for mental distress?

  1. First you have to prove what was spoken was false and caused damages because truth is a defense.

  2. You can file a criminal case of slander but the court will encourage that you first settle the case amicably because the offense is just minor.
