The Croatian coach believes there is a formula to beat the reigning European champions, which is most effective when they are playing without a recognized striker.
Slaven Bilic tasted the magic of Vicente Del Bosque’s World and European champions first hand and surprisingly does not have positives to report. The Croatian coach believes there is more fluff about the 2010 FIFA World Cup winners and he has a plan to beat
them.
The 43-year-old could not understand all the hype surrounding the Iberian team and added that if observed closely, managers will find a way to unlock their supremacy, bringing them back to Earth.
He pointed towards Spain’s Euro 2012 fixture against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, stating that they were vulnerable against the Azzurri as they played without a recognized front man.
Continuing on the topic, Bilic remarked that with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Villa-c10629 nursing injury in Catalonia, Vicente Del Bosque does not have confidence in his the hitmen he has taken with him and will return to the much talked about ‘strikerless formation.’
He claimed that in such a situation, La Furia Roja are easier to defend as everything starts from the midfield and do not have any player disturbing the defenders. While on the other hand, with a recognized striker the whole scenario is reversed.
"People are going crazy about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011, but the world moves so fast that we forget the detail," said Bilic.
"They have looked vulnerable, not only against us but also against Italy.”
"For me, it is easier to defend against Spain when they are playing without [Fernando] Torres, [Alvaro] Negredo or [Fernando] Llorente.”
"To me, they are more dangerous when they play with a striker. Why? Because when they don't have someone in the box, they lack depth.”
"When you play against Torres, you can't push up. They can't stretch you without a striker.”

the Polish city of Gdansk.
