  1. A single instance of seizure in infancy without sequelae is usually not an obstacle to issuance of a medical, in the U.S., with appropriate documentation.  In all other cases, seizures are usually disqualifying unless adequate proof can be provided that they have not occurred for a long time and are not likely to occur. The FAA makes the final decision.

Twitching movements as you fall asleep are called myoclonus, and one or two of these just as you drift off to sleep are normal.  If many of them occur, or if they occur in the morning, they may require investigation and may interfere with issuance of a medical.

  2. You need to consult a flight surgeon to get the right answer.

This weblink will take you to the FAA website, and has a aviation medical examiner nearest you.

Call and talk to them and inquire about this, they will be able to give you what you need to hear.

    Good luck.
