What are some great tips for sleeping through a rough thunderstorm. I know it's not nightime yet- but its suppost to rain and I want to have some tips. I hate putting pillows or blaankets over me because I feel like I can't breath. Also is it possible to suffocate with a blanket over your face because I feel like I ca't breath then!?!?!

  1. same here i fear storms here are some tips if u see lighnting block r ears with ur fingers and keep doing it and when u get tired of it then u will fall alsleep

  2. I find it impossible. In fact I usually get exited and want to see it. If you can get a good view then breathe it in. After a while you wil get bored - drink some milk and go back to bed. Psychologically you've seen it, dismissed it as non-threatening, know all about it, so you will not be frightened of it - and go to sleep listening to the rain.

  3. ear plugs, sleeping pills, or get that glass door on that TV commercial that;s soundproof and keeps burglars out.

  4. I have the same problem

but yes, it is possible the blanket could suffocate you, if you had it over your head long enough.  I guess just make sure the windows are closed, and try to get to sleep before the storm, or listen to some music at a low volume.

  5. What I suggest is maybe if you have a basement that's finished go down there because if it's finished the walls should be thick, and so you would here less thunder, and there are usually less windows in the basement so you wouldn't see the lightning. Good luck!

  6. i guess it just down to if your a deep sleeper or not. if you dont fancy earplugs (they take about 15 min to get use to) then try drinking warm milk before bed and do some deep relaxing (youll find out how if you google - self hypnosis) and maybe that will help you sleep deeper

  7. I love storms and get my best sleep when it is storming outside.  Find the sound of rain and thunder as soothing and relaxing as opposed to hearing them as frightening and scary!!

    Enjoy the sound of nature...
