Let's start off by saying that I was sleeping and dreaming and all the sudden I woke up and I noticed the moonlight reflecting perfectly onto my ceiling

i look at my ceiling and the moonlight was then reflecting somethign spinning, comparable to a helicoptor properllor.

on my arms, my whole body, and i felt as if i was

  1. I experience this a lot. It's basically sleeping with your eyes opened.

When you sleep normally, you body doesn't move that is to keep you from acting out your dreams.

However, sometimes, your body and your mind becomes physically exhausted due to what ever you did during your day time and at night, mind and body will not connect as one resulting in body being awake while mind still asleep.

When that happens, you naturally begin to be afraid since you cannot control yourself or move. Your mind thinks of scary things like devil pushing down your chest, suffocation, and etc. You can't talk or move or anything.

Try getting more rest and don't over work yourself.

If you do get sleep paralysis again, the best way to get out of it is to move your fingers or toes, try breathing hard, or have someone touch you or sleep next to you to calm you down while you're having sleep paralysis.

It's nothing super natural, it's normal.

    Hope it helps =)

  2. Nice try but no nothing very strange at all. The reflection on the ceiling was just that a reflection of either the moon or a light some place outside hitting a mirror and then the ceiling. After that it was in your head with your mind running circles and getting no place.

  3. nope, nothing paranormal here. Its a medical/sleep disorder. Most times it OK, on a rare occasion it can be fatal, but its a fairly common happening, I have had this happen to me at least ten times in my life.

  4. You know it's sleep paralysis, so what's the question?

  5. I was compelled to write the incredible full story of my own one year journey which helped me understand what was happening. The brain/psyche is as miraculous as life itself and what takes place in our sub-conscious minds can signal the conscious mind that our normal functional state is being compromised. Sleep paralysis is not really paranormal but rather a meta-phenomenon.The brain will do whatever it can to help our conscious mind cope with stress as part of our survival instinct..Things such as sleep paralysis and obe normally manifest because of extreme stress added to exhaustion and occur in the Theta state which is one state above Delta, the sleep state. Usually, though not always, we're either falling asleep or awaking in the morning. Personally, while going through a dark period, I perceived an exorcism, being molested by invisible hands, having a device planted in my brain, and levitation which then became the sensation of leaving my body, flying through my ceiling and having wonderful out of body experiences. I believe all the places my mind took me had significance since they were subconsciously driven. We process and heal while we sleep and this provided me with temporary relief from my emotional pain. It is VERY important to sleep so don't deprive yourself just to see what's going to unfold. Do keep a diary and I think you'll find this is a reasonable explanation.
