Sleeping in the back of suv drunk?

me and my friend want to hit up this club but dont want to drive since its 2 hrs away and were thinking of fallijng asleep in the back,, and just leave the keys outside under tire or something??? is this a good idea..

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Being drunk while sleeping in the cargo area of a sport utility vehicle does not constitute actual physical control of a vehicle, the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals ruled in an order issued Friday.

The ruling came in a case involving Shaun Eric Kelley, who was arrested in June 2006 after an Edmond police officer observed him asleep in the back of a parked Chevrolet Tahoe.

no, keep the keys with you. as long as the keys ARE NOT in the ignition you are ok, if they are IN the ignition then it shows intent to drive and that's when you get the DUI, no keys in the ignition thens it's just 2 drunks sleeping it off in the car, no it's not in public, you are in a PERSONAL space. I drive a semi and it's the same thing, not in the drivers seat and no keys in the ignition according to Federal DOT

why not get a hotel room, park your suv there, take a taxi to the bar and back.
