  1. Im the opposite of you. My first born was always waking up at night. He would wake once or twice around 6 months and want a bottle and go right back to sleep. It gets better around the 1 year mark. My new baby girl, on the other hand, has slept through the night since she came home from the hospital. All I can say is it gets better the older they get. One thing I did do for my son was when he woke up, I would give him about 15-20 minutes untill I went in to get him. Most of the time he would go right back to sleep. Now if he was crying histerically, I got him of course to make sure he was okay.

  2. I had massive problems with getting my 3 month old son to sleep.  He would just lie awake and cry for hours, then when he finally went to sleep he would wake every hour or two hours through the night and cry again!  Talk about pulling our hair out .... we were absolutely desperate for sleep!

It was a baby sleep audio program recommended by a friend that finally saved us. We followed the advice and began by creating a baby sleep routine which included bathtime, dimming of the lights, putting Paul into his crib, final nappy change and then lullabies. We also made recommended changes to his naps during the day and used some of the other recommended techniques. Within two weeks he was sleeping through the night most nights with just the odd night where he would just wake once!

Definitely start by creating a good baby sleep routine though and you could find that solves most of your baby sleep problems.

    Good luck!

  3. my daughter started sleeping all night at about 1 month old...

  4. mine has had stages of sleeping throw the night & stages of not. your baby is 6 months maybe he or she is waking up bc they are still hungrey. "solids" such as infant cereal or baby fruits/veggies help fill their stumuch.

  5. There is no set age every child is different. My daughter didn't start sleeping through the night until  she was 15 months old. My son has been sleeping completely through since he was 2 wks old and i have a friend whos son is 2 yrs old and still wakes up once every night for a bottle.

  6. This varies wildly, but on average, you can count on some night waking throughout the first year.  Around 6 months they should be waking once, maybe twice.  I know I'll get thumbs down, but you could start sleep training at this age, if you're of that camp.
