  1. You could be narcoleptic, I have a friend who was that way. (literally we would have to punch him repeatedly as hard as we could in the chest to wake him up.)

  2. You might be a snorer. A lot of snorers are heavy sleepers. They think it may have something to do with oxygen deprivation caused by the snoring.

  3. You might consult a doctor, and inquire about possible sleep apnea.  My mother used to sleep very heavily, and have wild dreams, and talk a lot etc... but she could never remember them.  She consulted her doctor and underwent a sleep study.  The results showed though she was sleeping, it wasn't restful, and she was waking up because she would stop breathing over 100 times in an hour.  She now sleeps with a C-Pap Mask, and gets peaceful, restful sleep.  It might not be your problem, but, I don't think it could hurt to ask, especially if the other responders don't recommend anything better.  Good Luck! Hope it helps

  4. You are what you eat.  Your sleep patterns are affected by what you eat.

The more toxic the food you eat, the more disturbed your sleeping pattern.

So you know, you go in different sleep cicles when you sleep.  In Delta, you cannot wake up.  Go to bed earlier so you can wake up rested !

When you sleep, you go throught 20 minutes sleep cycles. Go to bed 20 minutes earlier OR 20 minutes later than usual. So you can skip the Delta stage upon awakening with an alarm clock.

Only then, you can remember your dreams !

  5. don't
