Question:

Sleeping too much? Help?

Every morning I have to wake up at 4:45 to get ready for school. Then when I get home at 2 I try really hard to stay up the rest of the day. But then I crash on my bed or couch for four hours. Then today after i woke up from that "nap" I went to go eat dinner and went to go watch TV with the family and passed out for three more hours.

Any suggestions to help me stay awake all day? I really do not want to be sleeping my days away. It doesn't seem healthy and it's pretty much a waste of a day in my opinion.

  1. Well, i used to have the same problem. This was a few years ago but i will tell you what i did. I do not know how old you are but i tried to drink one cup of black coffee in the morning. If you don't like black try adding a little bit of milk and sugar. If coffee isn't your thing instead of taking 4 hour naps when you get home try lying down in a dark room with no distractions and set your alarm for half an hour or an hour after you lie down. An hour to half an hour rest is better than nothing. If that doesn't work try a little exercise as soon as you get home. A little jog, a few jumping jacks or anything to get your heart pumping a little. Finally how long has this been going on for? If it has been occurring frequently maybe you have something wrong. Not to frighten you but if it continues you might want to talk to your Doctor. Finally try to get 8 hours of sleep each night. Hope this all helped! :D
