  1. sounds like your eye got dry and irritated, I would keep an eye on it and if it persists see your eye doctor.

  2. Just to let you know, if you read Lori's answer, she misinformed you about seeing through the iris of your eye. The iris is the color of your eye, and you see through the pupil.

You could just have some irritation. My eye doctor suggests Alcon Systane Lubricating Drops when moderate to severe irritation is caused by mishandling, or sleeping with the contacts in.  If your eye shows no improvement, you do need to visit your eye doctor.

  3. You want to get some eye drops...even just the ones that you buy to moisten your contact lenses...are fine. Use them..more often..you can even use some of your contact solution (mult purpose) and rinse your eye out with that. It sounds like you did irritate your eye..or get some kind of infection..if it is itchy and watery..and sore..then more than likely it's infection. When you have an infection in your eye, the reason it gets all red...and stuff...is because all the cells..the ones that take away the bad germs..(this sounds kinda dumb i know.don't know how to describe it LOL) they pile up..and you rinsing your eye out will help. I had the same thing..and my eye doctor prescribed some really expensive eye drops...and she told me I didn't have to get those..that I could just use my regular eye drops...that it would work..and IT DID!! Don't use visine or anything like that..it has other c**p that can build up on your contacts..and it shrinks your blood vessels...and could possibly make it worse....just rinse it out with saline solution or mult purpose solution 2-4 times a day..or the eye drops. whatever you have handy...

  4. I've never worn them but I wouldnt sleep in them.

  5. Yes, see an optometrist and stop wearing contacts to bed! its bad!

  6. did anyone tell you , your not supposed to wear contacts to bed!!

  7. give your eyes a break from your contacts your eye might just be irritated

  8. Yeah, sounds like an infection. It could just be irritation but either way you definitely should see an eye doctor.

Its worse for your eyes if the problem is right over the iris (which it probably is at least partially since thats where your contacts were) since that is the part of the eye you see through. Definitely make an appointment as you can.
