Question:

Sleepwalking danger?

As of recently my boyfriend has begun to sleep walk. If he were just sleep walking there would be no problem but the other day he got up and tried to hurt himself with a box cutter and several other items. If I weren't there to wrestle him down he could have really hurt himself. I was afraid to let him sleep by himself and I was right to be afraid. This morning I called him and found out that in his sleep he cut up and down his arm but couldn't remember a thing about it. I'm really afraid of him hurting himself in a bad way but I can't stay with him all the time. We're talking about him going to a therapist but it will be a couple of days before he could start that and I fear for him until then. What are some ways to stop sleepwalking and stop him from hurting himself in his sleep?

  1. This is highly unlikely that he is asleep. You need a mental healthcare provider.  You cant cut your body and still be asleep. It simply doesnt happen.
