Slick Salamanca likely to win William Hill Maiden 480m Trophy
Slick Salamanca has got the best chances of winning the William Hill Maiden 480m Trophy at Nottingham in England on Monday, May 28, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will bag a cash prize of £150.
The 480 metres flat race is scheduled to start at 21:07 GMT and a total of six entries have been confirmed for it. Their names are as follows: Pineapple Jamie, Slick Salamanca, Dream On Buddy, Scala Maldini, Atouchofvenus and Express Dancer.
Although Slick Salamanca has never managed to win any race in this class, she has the potential of doing so today. She is a very good runner and her recent performances have been pretty much consistent. It will be a good choice for the punters to risk some money in her favour today.
The K. Allsop’s trainee has taken part in five Grade OR events, but has never tasted success in this format. She has managed to come close on a few occasions, but does not seem to handle pressure well.
However, things will be a touch different today for the white and black b***h, as her rivals also lack experience in this class. She has got a very good chance of breaking the shackles today, but will need to be at her absolute best in order to do so.
Slick Salamanca finished in the top three in her previous three Grade OR outings, which shows that she is carrying a nice momentum at the moment. She ended up second in her previous appearance, but lacked the stamina to take the top spot.
However, the distance to cover today is not going to test her stamina much, which will be an encouraging thing. She is the daughter of College Causeway out of Lemon Roxy and was born in July 2010.
On the other hand, Pineapple Jamie has managed to get the attention of the bookies because of his performances in Grade A1 events. He has been in dominant form over the past few events, but things will be different in this class.
The L. Cook’s trainee has participated in just one Grade OR event and he finished fourth in it. This indicates that he might not manage to give a tough time to Slick Salamanca today.
