Slick Sleek bidding for hat-trick through the Owlerton Bookmakers Sprint – Dup

The most lightly raced for the Owlerton Bookmakers Sprint – Dup is the two-year-old black dog, Slick Sleek. The race will be held at Sheffield over 280 metres flat on Tuesday, 7th August. The £200 prize money will be contested by Playfield Nikita,
Rockchase Jack, Welton South, Mr Monkey and Ballymac Mozart.
The K. Allsop trained has only raced twice during the season after getting trained at Nottingham. Getting tuned up before breaking into the racing career was his very first experience. Royal Impact’s son has raced and won at two different venues or over
two different distances. His potential right at the beginning of the career got him making the most out of the two races.
On 18th June, 2012, he got drilled over 305 metres at Nottingham. The two-year-old grinded through the distance in 18.13 seconds.
The career debut of the black hound out of, Ocean Lucy, was in a 305 metres race at Nottingham on 25th June, 2012. It was all about leading and dominating the track once Slick Sleek broke from the third stall. He reached the other end of the wire
in 17.94 seconds and defeated the runner-up, Slick Robert, by four lengths.
After taking rest for almost a month, the career debut winner took his chances in a race at Coventry as the second career outing. He won over 263 metres on 2nd August by breaking into an early pace and leading from the first spot. The tactic got
the K. Allsop trained settling the race in 15.87 seconds.
The already highly versatile and talented hound is taking up the challenge of racing at a third different venue and over a distance that he has not raced through before. The race will not only stamp his excellence at being the undisputed first one to race
through the wire rather it will entitle him to the very first hat-trick of the career.
Analyzing from his racing styles in the two races, it can be easily stated that keeping a firm grip on the defined speed of the race will help him claiming the race tonight. Looking out for competition vigilantly will be a key component for the success too.
He is backed by 5 to 2 chances.
