  1. first step is straight to the net with your left foot (to make the opposing middle think your going in for an A or 1). second step is a long stride to the right, going around the setter. third step is still going out toward the antennae, but turning your foot back into the court and driving your right leg up and pivoting in the air to face back to the court.

the timing is quick but can be modified by your setter. you have to take off as soon as the ball leaves the setters hands and chase the ball, making sure you dont over-run it.

im not a middle, but ive been playing for years and ive watched all my middles learn.

hope it helpss. good luck =]

  2. go to the setter as if you were running a quick set. as soon as your setter sets the ball, run really fast towards the antenna, following the ball. the set should be quick, low, and pushed out. just practice with your setter sometime, and you'll get it. once you get it, you will be amazed!! it's probably my favorite kill to get!

  3. This was explained pretty well in another answer.

  4. yes!

the second the setter touches the ball go.

then you still do left right left with your feet but instead you sort of do a layup like in basketball. and you should end up hitting kinda at an angle. also your right leg should kinda be up in the air. (for rightys) if your timing isnt right, just adjust it

  5. left right left approch the first step is towards the setter. the second is over as is the third. you jump off your left foot and have your right leg come up like a layup.
