  1. it is a torn cartilage be guided by your doctor for any treatment

  2. I'm a physical therapist.  In laymen terms, you have a slight tear or that your meniscus is wearing down, so to speak.  If you are an athlete or have been in the past, this is common.  Did you see an orthopedic doctor?  If not, you need to.  And he/she will tell you the treatment avenue to go.  I'm hoping whomever diagnosed this did an MRI.

  3. Cartilage damage in your knee.  Tear or simple breakdown of the cartilage.  Treatment can include physical therapy to strengthen the knee if the degeneration is not very significant, surgery to remove the damaged area, surgery to replace the cartilage pad if enough is damaged.  Your doctor will help you to the proper treatment for the varying degree of your injury.
