He has his first appointment with my vet next week! He has gained weight has a good appetite and he's active. His gums seem alittle pale compared to my other adult dogs and he breathes alittle noisey. Am i being over concerned. this is first puppy ever had my other dogs were older when i rescued them!

  1. You adopted a dog at 5 weeks? Poor thing. Usually they need to be around 8 weeks, but since you rescued him, I am guessing there was a reason he was so young.

Worms can cause anemia, which can be a result of the pale gums. Low circulation can cause breathing to be different. Could also be dehydration. Just watch him through the night. He should be okay. A lot of puppies have this problem.
