Sligo Mick to steal the spotlight in the grade-A2 race at Swindon
Swindon is expected to be packed with greyhound racing enthusiasts where 6 hounds will be competing for a prize of £85. The Grade A2 race will be run across a distance of 480 metres.
The racing line-up starts from Stanton Jerry, Mandeville Kit, Ardmayle Molly, Blue Orca, Drumna Whisper, and Sligo Mick.
Stanton Jerry, son of Digital, out of Movealong Velvet, will be facing some tough competition.
He secured a third place twice in Swindon.
He competed in the Grade A2 480M Flat on 11 February, 2012, and finished the race in 29.66 seconds.
Mandeville Kit’s prospects of winning are bright. She emerged from her last race at Swindon victorious.
The race took place on 11 February, 2012, and she defeated Cleenas Alice by 1 ½ length in the A2 480M Flat, finishing in 29.46 seconds.
Ardmayle Molly, whelped in January 2010, poses a big threat to other runners in this race. Her performance has been getting consistently better as she secured two victories at Swindon in 2012.
She defeated Primo Hotty by 5 ½ lengths on 24 January, 2012 and on 11 February, 2012, she beat Lord Sugar by 4 lengths in the A3 480M Flat.
Blue Orca’s chances of winning this race are slim. She often falls behind and tries to catch up with the other contenders.
She finished 4th in her last race at Swindon on 10th February, 2012. The daughter of Hondo Black, out of Slip The Bribe, lacked pace in the A2 480M Flat.
Drumna Whisper’s last two races at Swindon have been successful. She achieved her victory over Swift Cameron on 31st January, 2012, by 5 ½ lengths.
In her next race on 4th February, she was victorious over Primo Bolt, racing 2 lengths ahead.
Sligo Mick, son of Hondo Black and Dark Lynn, is gaining the confidence of the punters with his immaculate racing style.
He finished 3rd on 24 January, 2012, in a 480 metre race. He was more successful in his next race.
He finished 1st by beating Zeagle Zamora by a 3 ¾ lengths on 28th January, 2012, in a Grade A3 480M Flat. Both of these races were held at Swindon.
It is speculated that Sligo Mick will set the pace for this race. His odds of winning are 9 to 4.
If he secures the first place finish, it will closely be followed by Drumna Whisper or Ardmayle Molly. Both hounds' odds of winning have been calculated to be 7 to 2.
The third place is likely to be secured by Mandeville Kit.
