Slingbox question. How do I get a better picture?

My son set-up a Slingbox where he lives so I can view local channels on my laptop. The picture isn't that great. I tried to get it better but no success. Is the quality of the picture based on the far end or near end internet service? Can I get a better picture? If so, how?

For starters, make sure you do not have a file sharing program opened like Limewire.  People uploading stuff from you can drastically reduce your upload speed.

You may need to subscribe to an even faster Internet service.
