Slipknot's Paradox and Perception............?

Question

Does anyone find it odd that Slipknot is a hate band, talking about bad experiences and rawness, but everyone loves them? I find it odd, and very uncomfortable that you start something for a reason, and slowly, that reason changes into the opposite. Bad life, hate, etc, turned to Hollywood, sell out, accepted. How do you feel about that?

By the way I do listen to Slipknot, but this is bothering me in question.

I think it's because a lot of people are posers and they don't really like Slipknot they just want to be "cool".

i think it because a lot of people relate to them and they could also still be going through some hards times .( u never know what really goes on in a bands life).
