Please tell me the meaning of slippery and slippy as well.!!

  1. it's slippery floor. and it's which one is correct not how is correct. slippery is when something is wet and you can't get a proper grip. slippy is not really a word.

    def of slippery: tending or liable to cause slipping or sliding, as ice, oil, a wet surface, etc.: a slippery road.

    def of slippy: Chiefly British. quick; alert; sharp.  

  3. It should be: slippery floor.

    Both *slippery* and *slippy* have the same meaning:  difficult to hold, walk on. The word slippy is especially used in speech (spoken English).
