  1. hairspray the bottom of them before you play.

  2. use swipe socks they will get the dirt off your shoes and help with traction (they are socks with little extra material on the side specifically for "swiping" your shoes on) idk if they will help for your specific shoes but it is worth a try!

  3. If you have actual volleyball shoes the bottoms are always going to be smooth--if you wear tall sock while playing, wiping your shoes on your socks helps during a game, otherwise use a towel during time outs.  With volleyball shoes it is always going to be that way unless the floors are absolutely clean--which doesn't happen very often.  Good luck!

  4. wipe, spit, or highspray.

    works for me.

  5. The problem is the shoe design and sole type.  If the sole is too firm, it will struggle to grip on a smooth and/or dusty surface.  When I purchase shoes for volleyball, I always select "Cross Trainer" shoes.  I have found they stick to a gym floor much better than any other shoe (even shoes labeled as volleyball shoes).  Cross Trainers for Indoor Volleyball is the way to go.  Check them out.

Hmm, maybe this is why everyone tells me I'm so fast.  Slipping will slow you down.  Go to your local store, try on 5 different types of shoes (including Cross Trainers) and test them on their tile floor.  You will see what I mean.

  6. Bring your volleyball shoes into the gym without letting them touch the ground anywhere outside of the gym. You only want to change into them inside the gym, and you have to remove them when you leave the gym.

Right, "volleyball shoes" are like spoiled children... the only way to make them work for you is to spoil them more :)

  7. You might not have very good traction on the bottom, my shoes have a few tiny spikes on the bottom to help with the traction.

It also could be the gym floor, if it is dirty, dusty, wet, or sometimes the floor is just slick.

Also, if you make sure that you ONLY wear your shoes in the gym, and no where else, that may help.

    Hope this helps :]

  8. a lot of the time with my shoes if they're slippery it's because of the floor. if you have to, wipe your shoes of during time outs and in between games. never wear your volleyball shoes outside or anywhere else that isn't a gym floor. you will loose traction completly if you wear them on conrete or cement. trust me, i should know! i had to rely on a pair of shoes that were worn out and had no traction at all! i had to l**k my hands and rub them on the bottoms of my shoes to get them to stick! you don't want this to happen to you so be sure to take care of your shoes. if you are having problems with sliding and slipping then it could also be because they're new. if they aren't new then it is probably best to do as said above! hope i helped!!!!!
