Slipping saddle pad?

My saddle PAD slips back about 10 cm so the knee rolls rub on my horse. He doesn't seem to show discomfort but I don't want them to become anything like a saddle sore. How can I stop the pad slipping back?

  1. does it happen to all your saddle pads or just this one? maybe try a different material?

  2. does this happen with only one saddle blanket or if you own more then one does it happen with all of them???

  3. you could get some of those crisper liners and put it between the horse and the pad and see if that helps,if not there are actually things you can buy to prevent it...(make sure you brush his back really well to eliminate dust or it wont work)

  4. i had this problem. I also had a breast plate on my saddle and my saddle blanket had these extra straps for attaching to the breastplate- this solved my problem.

  5. There is something you can use called a "no-slip pad"

They are very breatheable and work really well, your saddle and pad will deffinately not slip with it.

you can google them too to find other places that sell them

    Good Luck!

  6. I've found that those fake sheepskin pads with the pockets that you can insert the kneerolls in work GREAT and no more slippage!

  7. put tabs on the blanket and attach it to the front of the saddle.
