Sliver, help!

its about 2 centimeters long and i cant get it out, i put proxcide on it and it didnt fizz. if it doesnt come out will i have to cut my finger off. (my mom said i will) and i dont know if she playing around cuz i never had a sliver.

No you won't lose your finger from it. It's just a sliver. Try putting some baby oil or vegetable oil on it and letting it soak in. It helps to make it slip out. Also, try a needle moving the tip over the sliver where the thin skin is if the skin isn't open, just poke and prod and go under a little but gently or it will hurt, then use tweezers to pull it the rest of the way out.

Yeah your mom is just kidding you, if she's not, then clearly she is not an intelligent person. If you can't dig the sliver out by yourself then leave it alone because your body will naturally work the sliver out by itself. Also, get some good tweezers and put downward pressure on it and hopefully it will work itself out! Good luck
