Slope of a tangent line?

a) find the slop of the tangent line

b)find an equation of the tangent line at P(2,f(2))

f(x)=3x + 2

*So I found the slope to be m=3, but I do not know how to find the equation since its a constant. How do I go about this?

  1. f(x) = 3x + 2 is a straight line, with gradient 3. It doesn't have any tangents. For 'tangent' to make sense, you need a curve.
